Dubai continues to hold its position as the Middle East's busiest airport, with traffic increasing nearly 14% in the first half of 2012.
Dubai International Airport said a record 27.9 million passengers moved through the airport between January and June 2012, up from the 24.6 million passengers last year.
Dubai International is the world's fourth busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic. It is the hub of Emirates Airlines, the Mideast's biggest airline, and budget carrier FlyDubai.
