Dear Friends:
I have lived in several countries around the World, and I know that it's hard to learn a language and speak it like a native. It's important to have a long-term outlook. It can take several years to learn a language. So here is my simple advice: practice, practice, practice. Don't be shy. And travel if you have the chance. If you are invited to a medical conference, a scientific symposium, or even just a short vacation trip, use that opportunity to improve your English. Perhaps we will meet some day at an airport, or on the airplane.
