Qantas and Japan Airlines have started a new low-cost airline in Japan. Jetstar Japan has started services linking Tokyo with Sapporo, Fukuoka, Osaka and Okinawa. The two shareholder airlines are planning to gain market share in the budget carrier market, which has grown in recent years.
