At lunchtime, say them to yourself again. Can you remember all three phrases?

Achilles' Heel

Jean: "How's your research project coming along?"

Amber: "I couldn't get any good results for 2 months, but this week I finally made a breakthrough. Now I'm really happy."

The phrase "make a breakthrough" means to have a big result, or to get a good answer from someone after waiting for a long time.

Prescription drug abuse

Doctor: "It will take some time for your ankle sprain to heal, Frank, so please refrain from running or jogging for a couple of weeks."
 The verb is refrain, and we usually use the phrase refrain from (second verb + ing). For example, "Please refrain from smoking in the elevator."

The phrase "equipped to handle" is often used for special cases such as "We are equipped to handle animals" or "We are equipped to handle heavy trucks."
